Dr. Joe Uziel is the head of the Dead Sea Scrolls unit at the Israel Antiquities Authority. The Center is responsible for the conservation, research, documentation, and presentation of the Scrolls, the most important find in the archaeology of Israel. This exceptional collection includes over 25,000 fragments that contain, among other texts, the earliest copies of the biblical books.
